In 1900 the Schabert's lived in a neighborhood with the Steppel's. These names were found together in the same area from the 1900 census through the 1930 census. Two of the Schabert children married two of the Steppel children and a few double cousins were born. Erwin Schabert married Emma Steppel and Myrtle Schabert married Les Steppel.
